East-West International Trade Analytics Ltd today announced funding of its Hanse (hanse.biz) application. Funding from The Sustainable Innovation Fund from Innovate UK, The UK’s Innovation Agency will fund a project to further develop hanse.biz to include monthly trade data and predictive analytics - set for release in June 2021.

Japan threatened to cut exports to Korea of fluorinated polyamide, photoresists and hydrogen fluoride etching gas needed as critical input in Korea’s semiconductor industry. Hanse data shows that while Japan is an important exporter, China’s exports to Korea are significantly greater today than Japan’s. Hanse has been developed by Ousmène Jacques Mandeng with East-West International Trade Analytics LTD, a start-up located in London, U.K. that focuses on economic data processing and business intelligence software.

Ousmène has worked on international trade for many years and developed the programme Trade CAN for analysing international trade for the U.N. Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLAC) during the 1990s.

The data underlying Hanse is from the United National Comtrade database and updated continuously.
